Job Overview:
Our Lead Carpenter role works within the carpentry team in a task supervisory position on project sites and will use leadership and woodworking skills to maintain successful carpentry operations involving the installation, creation, building and repairing of various structures and equipment. Additionally, this role functions as an on site trainer, teaching the members of the carpentry enhanced stills to increase team efficiency. This role works under the site manager’s direction to accomplish key tasks for our client projects.
What You’ll Do:
Assist in monitoring work performed by entry level carpenters.
Train and mentor entry level carpenters.
Collaborates with the carpentry team concerning work orders, blueprints, and sketches to understand the structure that needs to be built, repaired or demolished.
Builds, dismantles, and repairs structures, walls and siding as assigned.
Builds, installs, demolish, cabinetry, trim, drywall, countertops, doors.
Installs flooring, tile work, and finish work.
Operates all necessary tools and equipment to complete a job.
What We’re Looking For:
High school diploma or equivalent.
8+ years of experience in construction carpentry or equivalent.
Understands the correct and safe operation of all related tools and equipment.
Demonstrate leadership skills.
Have the ability to read blueprints and comprehend and communicate to the caprentrey team the project specs and next steps based on prints/plans.
Advanced knowledge of all phases of residential and commercial construction and local building codes.
Must have a valid drivers license and have reliable transportation that can carry necessary tools and equipment.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Must have the ability to identify tasks to be completed and take initiative to ensure completion.
Ability to take accurate measurements and calculations.
Great time management and problem solving skills.
Dedicated to excellent quality craftsmanship.
Enjoys working with a team and being a leader, teacher, and mentor.
Comfortable using technology such as tablets and phones.
Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds at a time.
Must be able to squat, lift, stretch, and bend
Pay & Benefits:
$45.00 Per Hour, Biweekly
